nice model though, anyway. Matt you better have deep pockets to keep that boat running. 41 foot boat with 2 454 chevy big block engines at 350HP people go nuts when i tell them that, and when i tell them it has a 375 gallon fuel tank they just drop dead. so have fun...  :P

you people have weird engines, over here there are no V engines in the boats mostly normal volvos, straight 6 I think.
I've seen the model volvo penta d6 in many boats here, never any V engines.

might not be true in your case as you bought the boat 20 years old at no where near new retail value

My dad has a boat down in Dover (we live up North now, in Lincolnshire) called the Sulac. It's a 30ft Moody Yacht (now outdated by a 31ft version) made in the 70s in Gosport/Plymouth (locations of parts, I've forgotten where she was actually finished, one of those two places). He bought her for the lovely, good value sum of about £3000, and she was well worth it! About 8kn (MAX!). 25hp BETA Marine inboard engine put in a few years ago. Beautiful hull (concrete I think). Two sails. Sleeps 2/3. Gas, cooking, water, toilet..... Usual. She sounds like a Transit van sort of.... LOVE HER! Of course, I'm at the helm most of the time, while Skipper's up for'd doing sommats with Number 1 (who is usually his good friend Ian Keyser from Whitfield if it's not just the two of us).
Picture of what she looks like: (VAGUELY, this is NOT my dad's boat, it's not even a Moody but she looks similar)

She looks very much like our old boat!

Sabb as well!! We had a Sabb 2.2, would go forever!

What type of boat is she? She wouldn't happen to be a Colvic by any chance?

Or is she a home build entirely?

Jack.
