seen that before
has it been in swansea recently?

Nope. Hasn't been in swansea since the previous owner bought her. For the last couple of years she's not been much further than Plymouth.

She's a Beneteau Antares 700p, so you may have seen a sister vessel ;)

Thought I'd add some underway photos of us - taken by a friend running on a rib alongside.
First pic I'm just winding us up from a stop, other photos at nearly full chat.  8)

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

I'm still alive!

Just thought I'd pop by and share some more pictures of 'my' boat. There's a fairly uninteresting picture of her on the last page. On Saturday I went out with the camera and got some more interesting shots ;)

There are some pictures of my fine self driving the RIB the pictures are taken from, but I haven't gotten hold of them yet!

(She is steaming a bit, half due to the fact that she's sprinting, and half due to the fact that the port engine needs the exhaust seawater injection pipe clearing)

Nice starboard chair. And a wooden wheel with knobs! You don't see those anymore.

Unfortunately the starboard chair damage, and quite a lot of other damage to her, was caused by a college who were allowed use of her when she was with another unit. She was absolutely wrecked when she was taken out of their hands.

The exhaust gases had burnt a hole in the pipe, which meant that water entering through the pipes in the stern simply flowed straight into the bilge. The boat was left for several weeks meaning that the batteries went flat and the bilge pumps stopped functioning, so she ended up being half full of water. If she hadn't been rescued when she was, she'd have sunk soon after.

There's plenty left to do with her, but at the moment the primary goal is to get her operational so we can respond to incidents. Next thing is MCA coding, and then we can start to worry about little things like the condition of the chairs

At least you have a boat.

Sigh, once I found a sailboat for sail at Canal Park in great condition at an affordable price, but I don't know how to sail... also I don't have a license. :P
