No, look, I've spent the last 2 years looking at boats in that kind of price range and let me tell you.

You don't want a 175 I can go on and on but for that money explore a Larson or get a Bayliner 185 for only 2 or 3 thousand more.

I was looking at Bayliner much like that one until I found the Perfect Larson for the same price that was a whole lot better.

actually, we do want a 175

2. reasons. 1. The price, its at a great price for a first time boat. 2. Its plenty big enough, so way pay more for a bigger boat

its a hardly used 2006

only 30 hours on her, and shes only been in fresh water.

Very nice, is this from a dealer? or private? sometimes it good to have a look around, rather than just picking the first one you like.

I was out in the Solent today. Took the video camera as well. I'll post the video later, but now need a lead to connect it to the PC with the video processing software.

Came out from Chichester and went up past the Forts. Stopped to watch hovercraft from each direction, plus a fast Cat and a couple of Whitelink Ferries. Also some other vessels. Went up to Fawley and then its started raining. The small boat is open topped, so at 50 kts that hurts.

Got back to the marina and the sun came out! But I walked past a nice 30ft Fairline with a for sale notice. I may have just bought that...

Connecting to the PC is my problem, $:-\$ once I sit down I'm to lazy to get the camera thats only 2 feet out of my reach on the kitchen counter.

You were lucky I was traveling the length of the 7 mile lake that I was on this morning avoiding Thunder Storms. Here in New England^USA We have had 3 ¹/₂ weeks of constant Severe* Thunder Storms, and another 2 weeks are coming.

I've had enough, the only way I can go out on the boat is to cross my fingers.

*Some times nickel to quarter sized hail and hurrican wind strength, Many trees are missing an action.

well i won't be getting that boat i posted above, i was out bidded beyond my set limit.

So i'm gonna keep looking around, i'm sure i'll find another boat sooner or later

Look you have no idea, some of that hail put holes in the tarp I use to cover the canvas cover on my boat so it doesn't get all slimy.

Heh heh. Actually, I have a very good idea. I travel a great deal and have walked 200 miles in the Saharah in Summertime and the same distance in the Antarctic in the Winter. I have been in the centre of tornadoes (small, thank goodness) and experienced hurricanes and floods. I've stood on a mountain side in January in Norway (above the Arctic Circle), waiting for bus.

Weather, I understand. That's why I chose to live here in southern England where we don't get any weather, rather than in New Jersey where my wife comes from.

PS wentout in the boat again today. Weather was excellent! 80F and dry. No wind. Wound that boat up to 65 kts running down the Solent.

I you're willing to drive for about 5 hours to get your boat there is a great place in upper Massachusetts that specializes in small cheap but nice used boats. $:-\$
