probably because there are no waves in either of the environments at that time, and the ships arent in motion. Its probably in a lower depth. idk thats my guess.

I reduced the waves to zero, and the depth wouldn't influence the waterline..
Here's a hint: take a look at this guy.. :)

Here are two pictures of the Vermaas..One in Rotterdam port and one in the Northern Atlantic..
As you can see, the waterline is identical in both pictures..
Would they be?   If not, why..?

It's all to do with the density of the water.

That's it Mike..The saltier the water, the more buoyant floating objects are.
So theoretically, the Vermaas would sit higher in the Northern Atlantic than in Rotterdam port
I don't know in how far this effect would be noticeable.. ;)

I think the difference between Rotterdam and North Atlantic would be minimal, and noticeable only in winter for vessels of less than 100m length overall

EDIT: Sad, that you've modifyed your question while I was writting the answer your original, now edited question

You want to hear the names of that two vessels?
Well, the AHTS "Fairmount    ........." can be:

"Summit"       http://www.fairmount.nl/page.php?idObject=413
"Alpine"         http://www.fairmount.nl/page.php?idObject=431
"Glacier"        http://www.fairmount.nl/page.php?idObject=432
"Expedition"   http://www.fairmount.nl/page.php?idObject=433

They all are the sister ships of "Fairmount Sherpa" & has the same ship particulars.

About that heavy load semisubmersible barge, it can be:

"Fairmount Fjell"         http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=156555
"Fairmount Fjord"        http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=139000

They looks in the same way

About the current question - I haven't found any similar to that vessel on fairmount.nl site. Must be a some kind of a project?

Sorry I switched on you Foyen, you were right
The "new" answer is the Fairmount Fjell, to be converted from a barge to being self-propelled, together with her sistership the Fairmount Fjord..
Here's a link: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.marinelog.com/IMAGESMMV/wartshev.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.marinelog.com/DOCS/NEWSMMV/2005nov00022.html&h=385&w=480&sz=41&hl=nl&start=9&usg=__1YUun2aODRHHclXzQrIAFUnAzH4=&tbnid=mfZiWwzUj_B5iM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfairmount%2Bfjell%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D21%26hl%3Dnl%26sa%3DN

She would be a nice addition.. :)

Your go..

ps: here's the "old" pic again..  the Glacier and the Fjell
