I know what it looks like, it runs "clockwise", but the numbers are reversed, so the 1 becomes 11 etc.

There are 2 counterclocks on the "Pride of Rotterdam", one for each engine. They are the engine revolution indicators immediately in front of the Helmsmans position.
The real counterclock, as you can see from the picture, tells time. If it don’t tell time, it aint no clock.

ok. this is something close to what i was looking for. Titanic went down bow first because water was entering there fast. the bulkheads did not go higher than E deck, so water spilled back and back, causing the stern to rise. and the presure was to much for the hull, causing her to split.she split at the expansion joints at an angle of 10 or 11 degrees, according to the new theory (as opposed to the previous one which suggested 30), an angle most ships face in storms. this sugests her expansion joints were weak. sure enough, the wrecks show that the Britannic's expansion joints were stronger than Titanic's, meaning White Star knew of this structural deficiency. Anyway, the crack stoped at the double bottom, which still hadn't flooded. eventually, though, just like the rest of the ship, it failed and flooded, pulling the ship's middle down, causing upper decks to mangle and crush together before completely seperating.
The fate of the Titanic has been discussed over and over on the forum..

During the Portuguese and then the Spanish civil wars of the early 1830s, they ran guns, raised loans and chartered steamers as warships and troop carriers for the legitimate heirs to both thrones. Their peacetime cargoes included anything from machinery for minting money to giraffes.
In 1835 they joined with Captain Richard Bourne, a Dublin shipowner, and began a regular service between London, Spain and Portugal under the appropriate name "Peninsular Steam Navigation Company". On August 22, 1837, Bourne signed the first commercial contract for carrying mails by sea, between Falmouth - the established "packet" port - Vigo, Oporto, Lisbon, Cadiz and Gibraltar, and with this financial security laid the traditional foundations of P&O.
Such contracts were to be a major source of the company's revenues until the Second World War.
The ship making the first contract run, the 800-ton Don Juan, was wrecked on her return voyage. Fortunately Anderson, who was aboard, helped save the mails and Peninsular Steam weathered the loss.
Its reputation grew. It was consulted on the extension of similar mail services into the Mediterranean. In1840 it received a contract for a monthly run to Alexandria, and to raise the one million pounds needed became a limited liability company.
The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company was incorporated by Royal Charter, and remains to this day one of few British companies not operating under the Companies Acts.
Larger ships were acquired for the Egyptian run, still larger ones - all of 2,000 tons - built to brave monsoon weather on the Calcutta/Suez line opened in 1843. By 1845 P&O services reached Singapore and Hong Kong and in 1852 extended to Sydney.
The company's three great Imperial mail routes - to India, the Far East and Australia - had been established in less than a decade.

Each Jumbo's crane has 3 hoists: 1 main & 2 auxiliary hoists. If you look on the main hoist (green) - everything is OK, connected by rope. But looking on the auxiliary hoists (red) - the hooks're looks like flying near the jib. I hope in official JJ there will be less mistakes.

Bugsier has 2 radars on it's mast. There're 4 radars on the image, so there're 2 bugsiers at the dock. But if there're 3 tugs, the 3rd is invisible behind the 2nd Bugsier ;). Well, you got a right point there. They're related to those, but I'm asking why do such cranes looks so, like on 1st image, & not like on 2nd. That crane on 1st - is for the special porpose (which?) & there're lots of them in Rotterdam. Though you know.

The heavy lifting ship KIL-158 was built in 1989 at the Neptune Shipyard in Rostok, German Democratic Republic. It has been in the Black Sea Fleet since 1989. The dock was not used for a long time as the massive mooring space was silted in and the anchoring points were broken. The sailors of the heavy lifting ship with the assistance of divers lifted 16 50 ton anchors holding the floating dock, changed out the chains and tightened them up again. The concrete coverings were restored and welding and painting was also done. The crew also offered help to port services and laid an underwater fresh water pipe.

Some erroneously associate it with Titanic, though Titanic lacked even the furthest relationship with the pier. Titanic was to dock at Pier 59. Pier 54 has "White Star" on it because it's "Cunard White Star" after the merger of the two companies somewhere around the Great Depression.
My guess would be Pier 54.. :)
