Sorry, I only know how to host an LAN server, which is great for one session but not for a large project. Plus I doubt you're in the vicinity.

Added docks, a ferry terminal, a cargo terminal, and a few ships.

One of the moderate-sized ferries of RS co.

Short distance ferry, loaded up and ready to soon depart to a nearby island.

A yacht parked at the large yacht terminal.

The cargo terminal.

I use wool because its the closest thing to more realistic buildings. I use bricks and wood for decoration and accenting only.

After all, that's what started the great Chicago fire and the London fire. Those buildings were made of wool, right?

So I scrapped the large yacht (which looked sorta ugly), and replaced it with a Coast Guard base, just a small one.

And remember when I said the ferries would go from the mainland to the island? Well it turns out that...

... it is the island! On the map you can also see the roads and the leveling of the rest of the terrain.

The Coast Guard base, with large and small buoy tenders.

The front of the base, with a crude USCG red stripe and insignia.

The detailed bridge of the buoy tender.

Great Progress! Also, I like to use World Edit for Flattening large areas... and blowing up tons of TNT. LLLAAAGGG

TNT is great for these projects, but seeing that it can fly considerable distances, it's best to level the terrain by hand.

That's an extremely sweet city-port. I can never create anything very large in minecraft, I always end up making a 4x4 hut with some torches and call it good

That's why I play it on a Mac. iMacs are more ideal for Minecraft, but that's about it.

I don't know. For some reason most PCs can't handle Minecraft. Amazing how picturesque games like Railworks 4 or Half Life 2 run flawlessly, but 16-bit Minecraft lags severly.

Don't know how. The city would also be great for PvP!

But just wait. After I'm done with the city, I might build a re-creation of the Black Mesa research facility from the 1998 game Half Life. ;D

You have to get the full version of HL2! It's great! Outstanding graphics, ingenious plot, beautiful environment, ultra-realistic sounds, wide range of weapons, comedic elements, crazy plot twists, tricky puzzles, epic boss battles, and of course Alyx Vance. ;)

Plus there's the episodes, with even more plot twists, boss fights, characters, environments, and more!

All made by the prodigious Gabe Newell, God of gaming, skipped kindergarten, overweight genius!

Garry's mod is a sandbox game that has all the graphics, props, ragdolls, weapons, vehicles, effects, and NPCs of Half Life 2, but not the original.

Too bad the toybox won't be in Gmod 13. At least you will be able to spawn large NPCs, ammo, and medkits.
