Dome Complex Lambda is now 100% done, and will be ready for download as soon as Planet Minecraft gets back up! ;D

Redstone wiring was a nightmare for the orbiting light! :C But right below it is a large empty room where the downloader can place whatever he/she/it wants.

Good idea. I could probably make a superflat world made of TNT with a redstone torch layer beneath it, then make a 1x1 tower to the height limit, then break one block of TNT to force a block update, so then the superflat world will destroy itself while only one tower remains for building.

What could this be...

To make it look more like space, I made the atmosphere a black fog like in the End. Also I used Plotz to design the sphere: http://www.plotz.co.uk/plotz.php

Completed the sphere and added a few bare essentials.

The completed sphere with airlock gantry.

The dark interior with the central core, core access elevator, and time control.

First three decks added:

Lit up bottom.

Time control uses a command block and repeater trail on "slow" setting to ensure constant nighttime conditions to simulate space.

Satellite launch bay control room.

Satellite guide tracks and doors. Grid above is elevator connecting to satellite storage/manufacturing.

Satellite labs and piece construction.

Manufacturing and storage bays. One bay was to hold an Advisor pod (Half Life reference), but it escaped so it's blocked off.

Lit staff elevator spanning the full height.

Extra floor added, plus a key component.

If you were to say that the Central AI Chamber is the brain of the station, then you might also say that the new Life Support Core is the heart.

GLaDOS supply and utility room. Includes core replacement machinery, breaker room, faulty cores, and... cake.

Lighting's a little incomplete, but this is the Life Support Core, supplying water, energy, and waste control for the entire station (as for oxygen, I'll explain later).

Lobby of the Staff Housing Center, also offering a cafe, library, and observation deck.

The standard-issue yet cozy crew berths, just one room out of 16.

The observation deck.

Beautiful work Sanford! I was thinking, in case of emergency, well nah... I was gonna say put a layer TNT around it then another layer of iron blocks... I must say, you would need ALOT of backups if you did that.

Explosives in a space station might not be the best idea. Can't risk the chance of explosive decompression.

In a related note, what should I build next?

Decided to build another ship: the M/S Diamond, a ship on RS lines, where every ship is named after a mined object.

The bow design is something new that I haven't tested on any other ship yet.

Stern will be similar to Lapis Lazuli, but will have smoother edges.

Length checkpoint at stern.
