Something you don´t see everyday a 14 metre long whale (dead) that the KNRM was trying to beach, the whale was found in the noon by a fisherman, because the whale was floating in the middle of a fairway she had to be moved, after some hours behind the SAR vessel De Redder the plan was made to beach the whale North of Scheveningen

A rope was attached to the whale to pull her on the beach but the beach truck did not have enough power, at the moment they are trying to pull her on the beach with bulldozers

Interesting to see how they deal with a whale - do they normally beach it?

I think it depends where she is located, like now she was in the Northsea one of the busiest fairways in the world, so I think this was the only option.

Nice attraction for a museum? It's going to rot and go all smelly and most people don't even want to see a dead whale

Seriously though - why would you go and see a whale which is probobly started to rot and the whole place is starting to smell - that's the last thing i want to see is a dead animal rot

Not surprised, being the largest naval vessel of the Royal Dutch Fleet. The site actually warned for it being a huge attraction for anyone who visits.  :P
