The side overhang affects the view.

the bridge height is as high as each floor indeed

i will tweak the funnel a little to make it look nicer.
what the antenna consists, it is big enaugh, the ship is just huge compared to it, the width of the antenna base is 2 meters, i think that is wide enaugh.
and it's a matter of the angle of view, on the sideview it looks big enaugh:

the bridge looks so big because it has a round shape, most bridges have a slight ovall shape or have just a flat wall, so the surface looks quite big indeed

and because of the fact that this ship is 50 meters wide

Ocean Liners have their size limits....

Ships traveling between San Francisco, New York, and Southampton have the following limits:

The ship is to be no...

1) longer than the turning point near Southampton
2) taller or deeper than the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York
3) wider than the Panama Canal

The QM2 broke the 3rd requirement and thus had to pay for it by going around the southern tip of South America to get to California. This caused the ship's trip to be longer and more dangerous.

In addition to breaking one requirement, it also pushed the limits on the other two.

So if this ship is going to be longer, taller, and wider....

Just a thought.

this ship also breaks the 3rd rule only, because it's only a matter of a few meters longer and taller then qm2.
the panama canal will also be made wider, i thought have read somewhere that qm2 could fit in there.

here are the technical measurements:
qm2
height : 72 meters (17 decks)
width (beam) : 41 meters
length : 345 meters

Oceana
height :75 meters (20 decks)
width (beam) : 50 meters
length : 397 meters

diffrence between this ship and qm2
height : 3 meters
width (beam) : 9 meters
length : 34 meters

height between bridge and ocean floor: 69.5 meters? (ok i'll short the antenna)
turning point southampton: ?? can't find measurements
panama canal : doesn't matter, this ship is already too wide

so, nothing to worry

TJEY CAN ALSO BE NO TALLER THAN THE BROOKLIN OR GOLDENGATE BRIDGES. WHICH ARE A BIT SMALLER THAN THE VERRANZO NARROWS BRIDGE. AND WHAT IS THE ROUTE OF THE OCEANA BECAUSE IF THE ROUTE IS GOING TO BE THE SAME AS THE QM2 IT WOULD PASS THROW HAMBURG AND CHERBURG AND IT COULD NOT BE WIDER THAT THE HAMBURG RIVER (HAMBURG IS CONNECTED TO THE OCEAN BY A RIVER)

no worrys about that, i think i will model my laptop and just keep the manfacturer's name away

im also happy to announce that the basic exterior model is done now

it's just a bit above 150000 polys, the guidelines say you may not exeed 100000 polys, but thats hardly impossible for a ship like this one. in fact, the titanic model uses near 800000polys so.....
