80m long, 16,5m wide, 6m draft
fully loaded highest speed (wind 2bft) : 19,9 knots
fully loaded highest speed (facing wind 7bft and heavy sea) : 16,5 knots

4 main engines of 4000 kw each (total 16.000 kw / 21.000 HP)
bow thrusters : 2 x 883 kW
aft thruster  : 2 x 515 kW

towing capacities : two winches (200 tons pulling ability each)

And so on ... That's a really beautiful ship !

Sorry but... 75m, 200 tons bollard pull, ocean-going tug, same speed... what's the difference with the Fairmount Sherpa already in the sim?  ???

You're right on that point :) But that's the case for most of the proposals here, you can see lots of car ferries (quite similar to the PoR), tankers, cruise liners (similar to the ocean star of the addon which will be soon available), and so on ...

The gaming possibilites with tugs are (to my mind !) far more interesting than those of a supertanker which most of the time doesn't even enter inside the peers of harbours .

Well, you're right... Let's say that tugs and supertankers can be interesting together... Tugs also need something to tow.  ;D

How about Floating sheerlegs?
Shipsim also has the crane-part in the simulator.. would have been cool if you could use the crane, and lift boats by f.ex. the mooring-points :)

Now that would be awesome!!! This would put the game onto a whole new level. Realism at its best!!

Yes, the Floating sheerlegs is great idea, but i thought on something other thing. Would be awesome to make, and drive the famous US Coast Guards fleet!
Just see it.. Sure, release in a new addon name maybe Coast Guards: SAR Seas
try to catch smugglers, search with 3-4 rescue boat a lost boat, or brings ships to safe place in storm..Surching ships and try to find illegal contents, This is just some ideas. The best if you make hidden checkpoints, and try to find the ships with binoculars, radar and i have an idea with a sonar. The US coast guards have lot of special wessels, just see the training sailship, in this site you see the ships(boats, cutters)
Well, they have 30 ships ;D
http://www.uscg.mil/datasheet/
I remember the New York mod for Shipsim 2006, and was great to see the Coast Guard ship there.
Ok, this is only an idea, not more..But just why not payware addons, like in flightsim? Historical addons, and SAR addons, Tug addons etc?..
I thought on another idea the Surface Effect Wessel HSS, or a Surface Effect plane!

Moving the coromuel from the IA static ships to the active player ships would be a nice idea ! this little ferry seems very charming, and the 3D model looks quite good already !

Did you notice it, in some harbours ?

I modelled that particular paint from the picture with red letters spelling LA PAZ. the last three pictures (before Puerto Vallarta) are mine, you can see the credits. She is sailing today with baja ferries scheme

It would be great to see these older vessels addded to the Portsmouth Ryde route. They were not equipped with modern stuff like bow thrust etc and would entail using ropes more in docking in the traditional way.
