Greetings from Western Canada.

I know this game is more European based, but I'd like to suggest some things from this side of the world. Here in British Columbia, we have one of the largest Ferry fleets in the world, and are able to call our newest additions to the BC Ferry fleet, the largest Double ended ferries in the world. They were built in Flensburg Germany just last year, and are beginning to fit in with the rest of the fleet now. They are called, the Coastal Renaissance, Coastal Inspiration, and Coastal Celebration. There are also another 30+ vessels in the fleet that are worth looking at. If you'd like to see what our ships look like, have a browse through my website and find out.

Cheers.

Just because i m a FERRY & CRUISE LINER Lover i just wish to handle in more realistic mean these cind of vessels.
AZIPODS-WaterJets-CPP etc.
In the new version you see that something is wrong when you have 45 dg to Port/Stbd full ahead/astern Bow Thruster to full and the RoT is 30 or 45 unfortunately.
Another example is with the OCEAN STAR when you turn one pod 90 dg (vertical)and full power and the Rot is once more dissapointment ???
The controls i have to highlight that is quite smart inthe cruise liner and the ferry except the Jet Ferry with the Water Jets Propultion which is an other disapointment :-[
Hope that our guy will do his mirracle and improve - upgrade the simulation

The most important aspect of Plymouth is easily HMNB Devonport!  ;)
What about Sutton Harbour, Or Millbay Docks? Plymouth isn't all naval base you know.

It'd be nice to see any of the Algo ships from the Great Lakes fleet, and to sail them on the lakes. And for them to put things in the right place this time (smokestack behind the wheelhouse) and not off to the side which makes docking a pain in the arse.

Beautiful ship in the pictures I've seen, haven't seen it go by my house yet (I live on the lake St.lawrence part of the seaway). Would love to have the lake St. Lawrence region in Ship Sim.

Those two ships are battleships (except for Hood) and it's not RMS Hood.  You sound like Hood is a passenger ship.  The correct name is HMS Hood.

IMHO, we dont need warships in SS....This isnt a combat simulator... this is a shiping simulator.

Granted it would be nice to take a large tonnage warship out but unless you are stalking prey, there is really no point to having on in this program..

Large passenger liners, freighters, etc are what this is about- i think that we should have classic liners like QE, QM, QE2, Andrea Doria, Carpathia, Lusitania, France Normandie, United States... we should be able to re-create the Blue Ribband runs by famous ships of the past...  have us do Coast Guard missions in famout storms/hurricanes...  maybe even the final run of a famous ship- leaving her home port for decomissioning..

Personally - Id love to take a liner out of drydock, down the river and out into the sea to give her a proper sea trial... Or even launch day- have an unfinished ship slide down the ways, and let us tugboat captians pull and push her to the fitting out wharf.

There are tons of ships that we could want, but i think that the military ships dont fit into the general idea of this simulation.

The British Columbia Ferry Corporation of Canada is one of the biggest in the world and they have many different vessels that would be good for the game.

Suggestions for BC Ferry vessels
MV Spirit of British Columbia - http://www.bcferries.com/about/fleet/profile-spirit_of_british_columbia.html
Largest BC Ferry and fleet Flagship

MV Coastal Renaissance - http://www.bcferries.com/about/fleet/profile-coastal_renaissance.html
Largest Double Ended Ferry in the World, Build in Flensburger Germany

MV Queen of Vancouver - http://www.bcferries.com/about/fleet/profile-queen_of_vancouver.html
One of the Original BC Ferries built in 1962

Sovereign of the Seas would be an awesome addition.

SS American Star/Australis/America (it's the same ship but had many names) would also be a nice addition to SS08 or SS09.

But guys, we're making some awesome suggestions in here, but do keep in mind that Vstep is not capable of making all of them :P

Edit: corrected a typo.

some smaller trailerboats with outboard engines would be nice, many people want larger ships but i believe there is a need for small craft because, apart from the jet ski and powerboat there are none.

The worlds largest container vessel, Emma Maersk! ;D
That was being modeled for SS2008, and when it was finished Maersk refused to allow it in the game because of Copyright. I think you should ask permission first before finishing it to avoid dissapointment.

Love SS 2006 game. for Ideas for the 2008 game How about Thomas J.Morse a Deep Sea Ocean Rescue Tug 250 feet in length, 5000HP diesel powerplant, and capable of towing 20,000 tons of deadweight at 10 knots for 2,000 miles without running out of fuel, (One of the tugs in the Raise the titanic! book), my second request is the HMS Rodney  strictly for the steaming and exploring possibilities.

Thanks for your consideration
