Great pictures aadjepiraatje, i've been looking for good pictures of the Elbe for a long time now, she has a very interesting wheelhouse dosen't she? sorry that we all keep asking you questions, but, how long roughly does she take to sink? and in what way? (e.g. bow first, stern first.)

Thanks a million,
Jack.

Ahoy Jack,
How long takes it for the Elbe to sink ??? What kind of question is that ??? I really wouldn't know, 'cause my intention is to keep those beautie afloat as long as possible. Not only in real life, but in the simulator too. That's one reason why I bought the Elbe & Furie Edition package as soon I knew where and how. Half of the money goes to the foundation who keeps her and the Furie as well afloat. Back to Your question. I assume that it's depend on the kind of damage, how big it is and on which part of her hull. For example: if she takes a lot of damage on the bow right under the waterline she will go down quite fast and 'Head first', maybe a bit tilting to the side the damage is.
And if You're really intrested in those figures, buy that tug and try for Yourself ;)

Hi aadjepiraatje, i don't intend to sink it at all, i'm just very interested in facts about these ships, i'm waiting for it to come into the shipyard, but still no sign. I'm pleased that the money goes to the actually running of the ship itself, then i know my money has gone to a good cause. Thanks for the pictures and info anyway.

Kind Regards,
Jack.

Ahoy capt'n,
What is Fraps?

I know i'm not captain best, but since i'm here i might as well answer for you. FRAPS is a recording programme, so when your on ship simulator, you can film what is going on. You can download a free trial from their website, although it dosen't record sound, whereas on the one you pay for, you get sound and better quality etc.

Kind Regards,
Jack. ;D
p.s. you can record any game, not just ship sim.

Hi aadjepiraatje,

There is one problem, although i don't have FRAPS myself, i've come accross some comments where people have said that if you get the demo download version and upgrade to the full version (the proper one) that it can cause effects on your computer system, if i were you i wouldn't download it now, i'd wait for DJM or one of the other moderators to give you some advice on this programme and how it works etc. and to confirm what i said above.

Here is the link, take a look at the info but if i were you, wait for one of the moderators to tell you about it first.

I purchased FRAPS a short while ago. Because Carl (DJM) recommended it, I went straight ahead and purchased the program. It worked like a dream. Very easyto set up.

I shot some of the video in DJMs last release (the one about MP on Youtube) after only a few minutes practice.

I haven't got FRAPS myself, but i am very tempted to get it, as i want to set up an SS channel on youtube so i can start recording multiplayer video's. Do you know how much (about) it equates to in pound sterling? i'd be very grateful for the info, also, could you post a screen shot of the programme so i can see what it looks like and just to get a general idea of its workings.

Kind Regards,
Jack :)
p.s. could you give me a little bit of info on how to set it up? thanks ;D

I use the free 30 second version of Fraps - i don't need to record the same angle for more than 30 seconds or it becomes boring, so it's fine for me.

Hiya guys :)

FRAPS is a very easy program to use, but you do need to make sure that all your sound setup is correctly configured in Windows, or you may have problems with sound output.  This is especially the case with HD sound cards, using the default driver settings ;)

FRAPS is better than any other capturing program I've used, because it uses uncompressed video.  The main advantage of this, is that any plugins that your games use, FRAPS won't interfere with them.  There is one distinct disadvantage though, file sizes can be very large (4GB maximum file size on XP, but it continues in another file, after that size is reached ;)).

This link should help you out:

Hi Aad.

They look good. Is this Padstow? I have to tell you that you live closer to me than that, I think.     I can certainly get to Rotterdam much quicker.

Here is a similar shot. It's my black cat, Suzie, taken in a coal bunker at midnight. I've lightened it as much as I can.

Ahoy Terry,
What did You give Your cat to drink? Is this Whiskey in her drinking bowl, or just plain tea? Can't see the difference ;D
