It looks to me, as the ship in the foreground recieves the wind from a different direction as the other ships in the painting.

Two slang expressions:
What does "Grey funnel Line" refer to?

Bonus question:
What does trading with "Cargo & Son" mean?

Grey funnel line is the Royal Navy.   Cargo and son I'm sorry, I can't explain.

You are correct on "Grey Funnel Line", but it's often used in general about most countries navies.

Sorry!!!
I completely forgot about it.

Trading with "Cargo &Son" means stealing from the cargo of the ship. It was a somewhat common term before Container ships replaced the general cargo ships.

That's a nice link, Andy.. :)
Untill now, all ships in ShipSim had a base in reality..
However, I can't find anything on the web about this ship:the "Portoferraio Angel"  It may well be imaginery..
My question: where is the lovely town of Portoferraio..?

Portoferraio is the capital of the island Elba belonging to the region Toskana in Italy and its cultural and economical center.

@ saltydog: I think this is near the real base of the "Portoferraio Angel"
