What is the old name of the vessel in the picture (http://www.simplonpc.co.uk/SEMATUR/SinaloaStar_AHP-02.jpg)? Where can it be found in the game?  And who made this model?

The old name is the Coromuel, of Sematur
Built in 1973 by Jos L Meyer Papenburg in Ems
I don't know where she may be found in the game..

edit: in the game she may be found in Marseille harbour, at La Joliette ..

Well, the name is correct..
And you might find out the other two relatively easy, now you know what word to put into the searc... uhm.. never mind...  ::)

And "who built the model" is meant like: who built the ingame model of her, not the real ship. I might have not made that clear enough, my bad.  :D

My question on the number of fire extinguishers on Ocean Star was never answered. I don’t mean to insert it back in line, but if someone would like to answer as a sidebar…
Also this side question: On what vessel do you find a counterclock?
Regards,
Marty

I count two wheels on Titanic; not counting the user interface wheel.

Hello Marty,
When were fire extinguishers invented? Has that something to do with you fifi question?  :o
Regards,
Luc
The French wiki gave no history of fire extinguishers, but well the English one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_extinguisher). So, they existed...

I'm not sure what a counterclock is, but I have a hunch it's on the Red Eagle..

I know what it looks like, it runs "anticlockwise", but the numbers are reversed, so the 1 becomes 11 etc.
It think it has to do with navigation... :)

There are 2 counterclocks on the "Pride of Rotterdam", one for each engine. They are the engine revolution indicators immediately in front of the Helmsmans position. The two dials with red needles above the rudder indicators one on each side of the electronic chart.

The real counterclock, as you can see from the picture, tells time. If it don’t tell time, it aint no clock.

I guess it’s time to answer my questions:
There are, by my count, 12 fire extinguishers on Ocean Star. In counting them, you would have found the counterclock on the starboard side aft of the helipad. A counterclock is a clock whose numbers and hands run counterclockwise.

Could you tell us what it's for ? (other than telling the time for drunken sailors, that is.. ;D )

In this case, it’s not for anything. It is what it is, a clock that is backwards. The modeler apparently simply mirrored the port side and used it for the starboard.
