I suspect it is in fact the crew swimming pool, lot of ships have them!

Maybe it's indeed a pool.  Then why they have that crane at the stern near it?

Speaking of the Agile Solution: what is this..?
Don't tell me they have their own swimming pool.. ;D

Lots of small cargo ships have a crane at the stern, used for loading goods onto the ship  ???

Because of its position, I think it may have something to do with the pool..

The crane is for overwight crew members, how else would they get in and out of the pool.

Here is the crew deck, pool and jacuzzis of the Crown Princess.

Onboard a modern cruise ship, you would definately need a crane near the pool... ;D
