Now you are getting closer, you have the place, you have to work out what the ships were when the picture of "Portsmouth from the air" was taken.

Enough clues now

Well you got there eventually.

One was the previous HMS Endurance, Antartic Patrol Ship, the other was even more famous HMY Britannia, the former Royal Yacht. I don't know the name of the frigate.

Your turn

The other is the Leander class frigate "Sirius" - you can read F40 on her side!

:P  To me your question is the same as if I'll ask you to name these 2 famous ships. Extra bonus if you'll get the right name of the port first.

Your pic is a lot less clearer and therefore much harder to answer - at least Mike's had all the info you needed to find the answer! :)

Well done Quaysider, didn't see F40!!, took Diamant ages to get the answer, and I am not bothering with his question as the picture is too blurred.

There are some very good pictures on that site:

Length:Pride of Burgundy

New Question: The Pride of Hull and the Pride of Rotterdam are the 1st Generation of (P&O) North Sea Passenger ferries to have what?

Titanic, Furie, Latitude, and Vermaas off the top of my head (though Furie's seems to be missing, and so is PoR's, if I'm not mistaken)

New Question: The Pride of Dover displayed the name of which company on her hull when she entered service in 1987?

Sorry, stay here then!  ;)

What's the name of this beautiful tallship (the paintwork is like on 19 century tallships  )
Well, it looks like the same ship as in your avatar. I am going to have to say its name is something like 'Diamant'
