Built 1962 by Cochrane and Sons Ltd.

9cyl British Polar diesel engine.

Speed 12 knots.

36 tons.

Disposed 1975.

p.s. another clue.....She was the sister ship of another tug......And was almost identical to another tug called the Moorcock. However, Moorcock did not have a Fire Fighting Platform.

The Avenger was the sister ship of the Hibernia, she is still in Service, in Canada, and works on a river pushing barges. She is very well treated, and even took part in a tug race, to raise money for charity.
