Technically speaking, Arie Visser would have been the correct answer, as the Pioneer pilot boat does not really look like that but is just the Arie Visser painted like the pilot vessel.   ;D

But that's just nitpicking.  :P

Yes, the Red Eagle has Voith-Scheider Propellers, that work on the principle of varying the pitch to change speed and/or direction..
