Well, sorry to bump this topic but they've update her now...They have decided to 'plonk' a 94m Union Jack flag on her bow. Appartently Aurora is going to recieve this first this year in its refit, and I guess the rest of the fleet at some stage will get it to. They are also going to deivate from the traditional cream funnels to blue with their rising sun logo, and the rest of the fleet will get this too. From my understanding they have been losing business, and that after the recent price debarcle (see cruise critic) their ships are leaving Southampton half emtpy, and that other lines are coming in to "carve up the kingdom". Appears with this bold move they are trying to get back customers by adding 94m of British advertising! See attatched image.
It would have made more sence to do it in 2012 don't you think? Anyway I know a lot of Asian contires like British products so it may be an attraction to them? But if Scotland leaves the UK that mean we'll need a new flag so it just be a wast of money
overpriced product to sell?Don't worry, simply change the colour of a small part of it and paint a flag on it.
I think that might be the point - attract more business from overseas, as the British seem to be leaving them. You have a point with Scotland! Be interesting to see what happens then...
