You're not suggesting that I'm hinting about you finishing that EXCELLENT start to Pride of Bilbao (and Bilbao/Santander (in one environment)) are you?

The idea hadn't even started to form in my mind.

I have every confidence that you WILL FINISH 'Pride of Bilbao' to the same excellent standard that you have already shown.

I also have confidence that if vstep aren't already waiting to pounce on your Pride of Bilbao model, that I'll be ready to pounce on vstep. And I don't think they'd like that.

Sorry about the name but I do live in the middle of a forest!
I don't have time to blog very often, but this merits one. Ferry Man, if you are creating Channel Queen I am continuing to learn Mission Editor for her. My idea is for a 24hr shift split up into segments with interesting traffic and maybe the odd incident. They are my hopes but I want your ship!!! :2thumbs:

TFM, keep building... Maybe we'll see your vessels (one especially.... ;) ) in 'Amazing simulation' at some point in the future.

TFM how many polys are you over? and do you know were?
3DSmax has a optimisation feature and i'd be happy to run your model though it, just send me a PM.

Well I don't have the current poly count but before I did everything I was ~100,000 over

I am hoping the changes I have done have got it down a bit. Thanks for the offer - once I find out I will get back to you thanks :)

Poly count seems to be less of a problem for other simulators.

Perhaps it isn't YOU that needs to learn about optimisation...

Lars
I had a session with the first part of the tutorial last night and all I can say is that it is not going to be a quick job!!! I might be ready about the time that VSTEP think about it. In the meantime, I can build it around Pride of Rotterdam (sob, sob)

hehe

Well I will get her poly counted ASAP  :)

But then I just got to sort out textures for her...

Thats the basic scheme she will look like, but I need to get it like that onto the 2048 square and the 2x 512 repeatables then...

Quite a lot. I have started building a shift mission for the Channel Queen but unfortunately have to use the Pride as the base ship. Lars pointed out it could be quite a long time to see the Channel Queen  ship in the simulator and its also going to be quite a long time to get the missions created as well.

You really are a naughty boy. Does your mummy and daddy know you say that?

EDITED BY ME: I quoted the very word that I told craig that he was being a plank for using. How clever of me.

Well learn some manners and maybe you'll live to see 16. You'll learn one day (maybe) that crude language isn't big or clever- or 'cool' as you youngsters say. You will impress people with poor language no doubt, but probably not those that you want to.
