Very good, TFM... (I'd have said that the anchors were white and well hidden... ;) )

I am very impressed with your modelling. I hope the 'other' project under way matches the quality of this one when it's finished. Then it's a SIMPLE job to 'persuade' vstep to do the right thing.

Thanks

How does this hole look - still have a "crease", but it isn't too bad

*Creases are why I didn't make the anchor hole - if I cut into the curved bow section, it screws up the whole mesh for some unknown (to me) reason.

OK I improved it slightly, but I still have the visible "crease lines" in the hull now

does anyone know how you get rid of them?

I have... All the edges are hidden

I have tried manouvering the hidden lines around, everything...

They only show though when the light is from a certain position...

Otherwise she is looking good...

To be honest.. That yellow stripe on the funnel doesn't fit that well ... :S

You could maybe use the light blue stripe that is also on the hull and a different colour for the writing
Maybe white would be nice

I'm pretty sure they will like it :)

SSE still doesnt have a Dover-Calais suitable ferry and before the CCC there was still this topic that talked about people who make quality models may have a chance to get their ship in SS.
But most modellers send weird and not quality worth models.. But your model is worth it to go in SSE and is a ship type that isnt in SSE yet (A Dover-Calais Ferry)
I am not the only person who believes that this model will come in SSE, A lot of other ferry lovers and TFMlovers would also want to see this ship in SSE..

Good luck TFM! (TFK is proud of TFM)

Oh

We'll See, But the logo looks quite good
But who knows, Vstep might create their own CF logo that you could add to your funnel..

But i like the design of the funnel now

I agree with TFK... I realise that vstep is very challenged in the concept of 'commercial viability', but I don't think even they can fail to recognise the potential here. Or maybe they can, I'm sure a goderator will be along soon to warn me for commenting on the failure of vstep to maximise its commercial potential soon enough.

A goderator?
 ;D

Vstep is very good at models but looking at the CCC models not even finished i think it would be a hard work to put ships into SSE
Some things i know that vstpe do to ship is
  • Make it float
    Add controls
    Make controls work
Add new textures from sketchup to SSE textures (in this case)
    Lights
    Collisions with land detector
Make object in collisions (make it hard as rock and not transparent)
    Add speeds
    Check behaviour in waves
And many other things....

Believable dynamics and 100% accurate dynamics aren't exactly the same thing.

OK guys...

she is 100,000 polys over...

 :-[

So she is on ANOTHER diet

I am thinking about redoing the hull, see if I can lose some polys from there...

OK Numerous changes have happened to day, mostly little small things that you won't notice, biggest change is the new bow and hull, hopefully its slightly more poly-efficent now...
