OK, so firstly, I thought, what about somewhere with a shipyard
So I thought about:
TurkuLocation: Turku, Finland
Facilities: Ferry Terminals, Freight areas, Shipyard for Ship construction
Describe what makes this port different from the others: Well, The environment also ices up, not sure if that is a facility we could incorporate onto SS. Also it has a shipyard where ships are built, so would be interesting to get ships to start from there on a maiden voyage, and for their sea trials etc.
Post some Pictures (please not more than 3 per environment):
Um... might have to Google that one - not been there personally...
HelsinkiLocation: Helsimnki, Finland
Facilities: Ferry Terminals, Freight areas, Cruise Terminals, Shipyard for Ship construction
Describe what makes this port different from the others: Similar ytto Turku; The environment ices up, has a shipyard where ships are built, so would be interesting to get ships to start from there on a maiden voyage, and for their sea trials etc.

Hmm... Google again
Another area which would be interesting could be:
St Malo and the Channel IslandsLocation: Channel islands and France
Facilities: Ferry Terminals, Freight areas, Drydock, Marinas, Cruise areas/ at anchor
Describe what makes this port different from the others: This would be interesting I feel, and with the new InCat coming would be really nice - you can have smaller freight vessels as well.M Also you can do little freight runs between the islands. and St Malo is not a easy place to go to requires skill to get past rocks and islands, and the port itself features areas of very low depth, some quite close to the ferry terminal. St Malo itself is very pretty. And, as like DCitSE, you can do full runs from St Malo to Jersey/Guernsey without changing environments

Are... something different...
Kiel CanalLocation: Germany
Facilities: Um... Canal... bits at either end
Describe what makes this port different from the others: Not really a port, but I thought its something different - Kiel Canal connects the North Sea with the Baltic. I think there have been many request tfor this, as it really is something different...
Post some Pictures (please not more than 3 per environment):Um... Google time...
OK there are four ideas
