I don't know what month you think it is, but 2011 seems pretty soon to me.

Ever heard the saying patience is a virtue? :)

where did they mention the release in 2010?

Well when Vstep posted these release notes two weeks ago they said the release of the update was imminent ;D

Either they don't know what that word means, or they ran into another problem..

Calm down and let them work in peace  ;)

Like Tomaten said: just have patience. Not everything in the world will come in just one week. Just let the guys of Vstep do their job and wait 'till it's ready. Being hasty won't fix the bugs in SSE. ::)

I never knew that "imminent" could be 3-weeks plus!

What a tease!

Well sure it can.

Just look at how environmental 'scientists' say that there is a new ice age imminent from the global warming.

That's not gonna be next week.

Imminent's duration depends of the scale of the thing it refers too, as well. A game takes years to develop. So imminent can be a month or two even, easily.

But.. just as a little indication..  it's not Vstep's decision alone at this moment.

Fred

Steam is really annoying!

Now now let us not jump to conclusions there Bob :)

There are many parties involved with the publishing and distribution of the game ;)

Vstep has to be given enough time for developing a good patch which will fix the annoying bugs. Otherwise new bugs will arise and existing ones won't be fixed! It is better to wait some time for a good patch than releasing a patch which will introduce new bugs!

It is clear that many people are upset with the results of SS thus far. Still not there is a complete satisfaction of users about the game and all its features.

A strong advertising and almost convincing were massively released by VSTEP announcing a new context, a new game and would be providing a fun, fun and action within a reality which has not yet lived within the SS08 or SS06.

People (I mean users and customers VSTEP) waited for a very positive result as announced during the advertisements. Honestly I'm sure the commercial position of VSTEP should be reviewed point by point, because if not I think VSTEP may fall within a strong commercial disbelief and have your picture scratched.
I mention this opnion considering a simple fact that it occurred to me, I bought a shirt via internet UFC of a site in the USA and got another shirt that I had not chosen the worst shirt and had nothing to do with what I wanted.

Imagine you choose a product online and when it arrives at your home does not give you the results or do you expect .... yes it is boring.

I hope that everything here is seen as constructive criticism, I'm not looking for outstanding results as this may mean waiting for a new ice age for some.

But what I want is to make clear that once again it is important that results are achieved with quality and respect that users expect and want.

Enjoy and wish everyone a happy new year with peace and respect for each other.

Brgds,
JJ

Hi Nathan,

That depends on why the game is crashing. It may be hardware related, such as a underpowered computer.

The patch does fix a lot of issues with the game as mentioned in the patch notes.

My Video Card is a ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB, very better than the recomended requiriments, and my computer is at 750 watts of power, my RAM is 4GB and my processor is a Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz, I think it isn't the hardware or the power

Nathan The SSE is not running into your PC?
Curious I have a lap top with the 1gb geforce video and RAM 4gb and processor of 3.0GHz I 7 so the SSE is really running normal into this machine.
I just get alot of crash during multplayer.

I totally disagree,  except for the bugs, it's exactly the type of game I expected and wanted.  It's a simulation and if you're wanting a lot of action then maybe it's not the right type of game for you.

I have an ATI 5870, 6GB ram, i7-930, game should run smoother but due to physix, and my PC being an ATI run video card, I run this thing at lousy performance.

Hi itgl72,

You have quite a powerful machine there ! The ATI card - HD 5780 - is certainly suitable for SSE !!! What is the clock speed of the Core i7? I hope it as close as possible to 3.0 Ghz

Could you please elaborate on "lousy performance".

I have an AMD Phenom II @ 3.1 Ghz, 4 GB RAM and an ATI HD 5670 IGB RAM and I get the game at 21 FPS.

It is ridiculous to recommend I drop this ATI card for a GeForce card, or any other card. Months ago when the machine was built, I spent several hundred dollars on a good card at the time of purchase. Its still a good card. You dont throw around money like that in my house.

As for performance, its just not smooth as should be, and in heavy sea around iceberg, its not enjoyable to have it studder in frames per second.

Lets see what this patch does for us.

I have almost the same setup as you, ATI HD5870, 6GB ram and i7-920 2,8 GHz and I have no problems running the game.Just tested with Cutter in Antartic in heavy snow storm and it runs smooth at about 25 FPS.
