a TWO dimensional model? I think a 3d version would be best...
The problem is that even using a sophisticated maths analysis of the design, we still do not know 100% what damage occured and when/how. We don't really know what speed the impact was at.
If all of that was known then a pretty accurate sinking model could be developed, but there is simply too many unknowns.
I do know one fact for certain. Before the impact it was above the water. Some time after, it was below. That's a basic, but perfectly true analysis of the sinking
