That would be impossible, if Sonarman has already got it. Then thats just REALLY confusing!
And VSTEP know that if they do postpone it more then they have to jump into a river in Rotterdam!

I dont even remember where that rumour came from! Quite funny though!

Matthew, I know when I'm online, thanks for pointing that out.  ;D

My take on this is that we are working with different publishers/dustributors for different areas of the globe, e.g. Focus Interactive for France, Paradox Interactive for UK/USA/etc., GameWorld for Benelux and they all have their own strategy, packaging differences, etc. This is up to them. As much as we would like to be the omnipotent dictator controlling everything (I kid  ;)), after delivering it to the publishers, we are the developers and things at some stage when the game enters into the sales channel are out of our hand.

So don't be surprised if your edition/box is slightly different from the one Sonarman pictures. Ingame content however is completely the same though. I do know that the Paradox version uses STEAM, while other versions don't, but it makes no difference to the game content. He might have to wait for the 27th before his game will be playable though, as I notice he has a Paradox version.

Same for pricing and delivery. As far as delivery goes, again this is a per territory/per publisher issue and very much the case of how fast express services work. I can assure you that we at VSTEP are all doing our best to get you your copies on time but at some stage it is up to the postal services and games on stock.

Take care,
Frank

Brilliant thanks Frank
Only I didnt know if on the VSTEP account website it will state when it has been shipped.
But I suppose you have just answered that, depending on the company.
And it looks like it's going to be the lazy guys at MRW in Spain  :( who cant be bothered to deliver even when your in!
 Oh well

EDIT: I will look at Paradoxs website to see who the distributor is for Spain...

Game is rejecting my Steam activation code! Either a support nightmare for VStep which I doubt or more likely the activation code only becomes active on release day looks like we will all probably be enjoying the game at the same time after all, clever old VStep! oh well at least we know a litle bit more about the game now!

A steam code is an activation key you type into the game to authorise it on the steam network to allow you to play the game.

What's the Steam network>

Hi TFM,

The Steam network is a bit like a game manager. It checks to see if you have the latest updates to certain games, networking and online capabilities.

At least, that's what I can remember about steam :)

What if you don't have Internet connection?

Or just take the plug out and set the clock two days in advance...

It won't work like that :)

VSTEP probably won't active the license key service until release day. So at the moment it's probably rejecting all incomming requests :)

What's the Steam network>

The steam network is the foremost platform for the digital distribution & activation of games. You can buy games online at steampowered.com & download them to your PC the games are tied to your account on steam so you can install them on as many PCs at you want as long as you only run one copy of a game a time.

Once activated most games can be played in offline mode no problem. It is much less invasive than the horrible DRM favoured by Ubisoft in submarine sim Silent Hunter 5 where you must be connected to the internet at al times to play.

But if you pull the plug, or not allow internet access...?

Sorry if this is a daft question, but does this mean we need a steam account to install the game?
