Mind you I saw a amazing cruse ship on the bus back from collage in the harbour! When I got off the bus, got my camrea and rushed down to the harbour, it was gone!

Well that problem have I also when I see a nice vessel.

The Cutter is for operations what a Hopper can't do, a hopper can only dredge: Sand,Gravel and soft clay (Hard clay is to hard to dredge), so if the hopper can't do it they will send a cutter to dredge because with the big teeth they can dredge: Rock, hard clay and other harder stuff that a dredger can't dredge.

we had one of those in land to build a school around here as they were trying to go through grannit - the vibrations was so bad it burst every pipe in every house on the hill

I will be honest, I'm not a ship spotter, but I spent the past two days in Southampton, and as we like cruise ships, we went to Hythe to watch Celebrity Eclipse and Adonia leave from Hythe pier, but there was rather more than that! It started with this lot:

(due to only being allowed 5 pictures per post, I am posting in sections)  

I was down there because of my Dad buying a powerboat experience with Saber Powersports, and it was awesome, I even got to drive. Crossing the wake of the Red Jets and the Red Funnel ferries is just amazing!

Then the stars of the show came through:  

Shieldhall (vessel the last picture down on the above post), which I presume is a steamship, whistled at Celebrity Eclipse, and Eclipse whistled or 'hooted' back. I have a video somewhere.

Yeah Shieldhall is a Steamship, went on her earlier on her year - lovely vessel!

Shieldhall is an old Thames sludge barge (a pooh tanker, that used to carry London's sewage out to sea and dump it)  She has been restored and now sails as a museum type vessel carrying passengers in a similar way to Waverly and Balmoral.

2 october we went to sail with Kotug and the 3rd of october we went to sail with the training vessel from school , 2 October we were sailing with the ZP Chalone (3060HP) andSD Rebel (5000HP) . from these ships I have made some pictures from the Delfshaven (our training vessel),Endurance,Smit Panther, Hafnia-/Flandria Seaways and some other ships mostly in drydock.

First we went with the ZP Chalone, she had to make a test trial because she did not sailed for over a year due to reperations.

for the first time in over two years.. i pointed my camera away from a train and towards a ship.. not just a ship, a Mega ship!


Majestic Mearsk at Felixstowe today (07/10/2013) at 399M Long this ship is the Longest in the world that is in service!

yesterday the HMS Tyne docked at Scheveningen.

next week (saturday) more pictures from marine ships, the Netherlands will celebrate 200 years kingdom of the Netherlands (it will be 200 years that Prins Willem Frederik arrived at The Netherlands).

the HMS Tyne will be the HMS Warrior (the ship where Prins Willem arrived with in 1813).
