Have you tried viewing these in full resolution and looking in at that up close? It's obvious these are not game shots, but most of these aren't even real. Most of these are just photoshopped in. You can see around the edges that it was faked. ::) :sleepy:

maybe its just a bad upload?
I strongly feel those aren't real shots, each of them have their kinks, like the Titanic picture, and her wake is all wacky, and in the one of the classic yacht, you can clearly see that:

A: The picture of the boat was just pasted on, look at it in full res and it's lower quality than the rest of the pic too
B: The huts are clearly real...

There's even more, but I won't get into those. :police:

I hate to tell you all this, but the game isn't finished yet... I doubt the screenshots represent the finished game.

What I'm saying is that the screen shots don't represent ANY game.
@ Pride of Dover: No, it can't be that because they're extremely high quality. Anyway, a bad upload wouldn't explain why just the cheap cutout of the yacht was lower quality than the rest of it. Look at Titanic's wake in the picture, does that really look like it's in a game? It doesn't even follow the same pattern as the waves, or even the camera perspective.

Well, that's the truth without a doubt. What I'm wonder is why? I mean, the only part that actually appears to represent the actual game to me, seems to be the water and the sky. The rest of the effects look fake. (Wake, Ships, Everything else)

Perhaps because it's only a visualisation of what is yet to come...

When Architects make models of buildings, the models are not as detailed as the real thing, and the design can change between the model and the real thing.

00:00 Dutch time?

Well, that isn't fair is it? We will have to wait until 01:00  >:(

And our American friends will have to wait at least until 06:00... Favouritism for the Europeans only... >:(

So Amazon have had a go at making their own front cover :D    ASnyone with photoshop could make that front cover though, looks  a bit "false" to me

I hope the VSTEP developers are hard at work on the game and not making boxes for the publishers.
That is what the publisher does. They also handle advance publicity and supply artwork to distributors like Amazon. That artwork may change during the period prior to release.

I’d be more interested in seeing the back of the box where, according to one complaining user, all of the faulty missions should be listed.

Amazon is also quoting a release date in April and not including Win7 as a supported OS, so there is little reason to regard the box cover as up to date.

hi

will the sinking of the titanic (or any other ship) be more realistic? because on Youtube, the titanic hits the iceberg, and just.. sinks. no spectacular  breaking up or walls caving in. that is the only complaint ive got about SS8.

SS isn't about sinking the Titanic though...

It's all very well having realistic sinking bla bla bla, but the idea of a Ship Simulator is to simulate ships that float, the idea isn't to sink them :)

Some people might find the idea of deliberately sinking ships offensive.

Yeah, im aware of that, but when, if accidental or not, you hit an Iceberg, quay, another ship, etc, you expect it to sink in the way that normal ships do. I mean, about 1 in 20 ships that sink sink in the way portrayed in SS08.

and also you havent answered my question. will SSE sink like SS08?

see my point?
