I have an Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT graphics controller. It has 1024 MB video memory on board, a Bus With of 128 Bit. My mainboard is an ASUS M4A78 with an AMD Phenom II three cores processor and 4 Gigabyte system memory. My operating system is Windows XP SP3.

Are these things sufficient enough for playing ShipShip Extremes?

Any speculation on whether a particular system wiill perform satisfactorily with Extremes is just that –speculation.

The true requirements for Extremes will not be known until the completion of beta testing, if then.

We spend much time answering complaints from users who say their systems meet the published minimum requirements for SS 2008.
Meeting such requirements is not the whole story. How you have installed SS, how you have configured your system, what else is running in the background, all affect the performance.

Does anyone know the minimal system requirements, i.e. CPU, RAM, etc, (you get the idea :sleepy:) My computer is busted with 1.66 GHz, and SS08 wont work

Ferryman, SSE will be released on the day when it'll be released.  Other things shouldn't bother.  ;)

If they say "Yes, we have started the beta testing" or "Nope, not yet" - will the answer change something in your life?

I should be ordering a NVidia GTX160 in the next couple of days. I think that should just about be enough to run SS and SSE ;) :)

The only thing I can find that you have added to this topic is "I am looking forward to Rainbow Warrior the most". So do you have any right to complain at people who are discussing the possible system requirements of SSE?

Well all i know is that my laptop is using Intel GMA X4500M video card with up to 830MB of shared video RAM and DirectX 11 . And to improve the speed of the processor, i bought a 4GB flashdrive and configure it with a Ready Boost software.

Ship Simulator Extremes is the working title of the next instalment in the Ship Simulator series slated for release in June 2010. ;D It will be released by June 6, 2010.

Additions to the game include new locations (including Antarctica and Bora Bora) as well as new ships (including official licensed Greenpeace vessels) and new dynamic weather and water systems. :D Following a campaign by members of their growing fanbase, Vstep agreed to include the ports of Dover and Calais (in one environment). :2thumbs:
