The harbor waves are set at 0.75 meters (swh).
I donâ€™t know if independent settings for sheltered areas will be in SS 2010.

The wind has more effect on the shape of the wavesâ€”whitecapsâ€”than on the swh.
Again, I donâ€™t know how much of the PRO sea model will be implemented in SS 2010. It is unlikely that VSTEP will give away many of the features that command a 4000 Euro price in Pro.

No, it is SS Pro. The 2010 teaser shows a shot of the white cliffs, so I guess that implies that Dover will be in SS 2010 since the environment is made.
The present Dover is limited in extent: The white sea extends 0.84 nm south of the west entrance to the harbor. However, there are no environment limits established yet. I donâ€™t know if it is feasible to extend a single environment to Calais.

Dover is in ShipSim Pro! What is it like in game?

Hopefully since it is in SSPro, and we see the Cliffs in the trailer, it could well be in SS2010...

Wow that image looks familiar, was viewing about that same angle a few days ago in reality on the Maersk Dunkerque. Can't wait for SS2010 if that environment is going to be in game, it looks like they've included the ferry terminals too. Thanks for the picture M/V Smith.

I just had a look at this port of dover via google earth. This environment would be extremely limited and thats to say the least. So far Australia is the only port I am looking forward too.

Australia is a continent & a nation. Sydney is the port that will be in SS 2010.

Sydney Harbour is one of the finest harbours anywhere in the world. Perhaps if you live there you become blasé toward it, but as an occasional visitor, whenever I'm there on business I always take the time to walk down to Circular Quay, The Rocks and the Opera House. The view across the harbour, with that enormous coathanger looming in the background, is simply magnificent

It will be interesting to see how much of the environs are included - will HMAS Onslow be shown in her usual mooring at the National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, and if so, would that make her the first submarine to appear in Ship Sim?

It may not just be the Port of Dover though, as i said somewhere, if VSTEP models the whole channel with all the ports (Dover, Dunkerque, Calais) it will be brilliant for ferrying. This is actually possible to put Dover and Calais in the same enviroment, as the two are only about 20 mile apart. Currently the Marseille enviroment covers the same, if not more area, so it's perfectly possible for this to happen.

mvsmith told us above, the SS Pro Dover isn't very big, but who knows what VSTEP will do with it from now and the release of SS10.

A Doverâ€”Calais environment would need to be about 20 nm wide. The diagonal extent of Marseille is only about 16 nm from the NE corner of the harbor to the SW corner of the environment. Most ocean environments are only 15 nm wide. It is not certain that there is a limit at that value.

VSTEP are, understandably, reluctant to expose details of a product that is still under development.
There is much more at stake financially in Pro than in SS NP. Exposing it in an environment where it would receive the gratuitous criticism seen in an above post would not be a good idea.

Marseilles is alot bigger than other sized maps but small in-game cause you don't sail to the western part of that map. Were just traveling to the Marseilles harbour on the eastern side and thinking the map is small. look at the map in starting location and zoom out all the way and move the map to be on the western side so you can see the rest of the map.

As stated in the Mission Editor tutorial, the limit of the Marseille environment is an arc 6 nm from the NE corner of the harbor. To find the distance from the NE corner to the SW corner of the map, place a ship in the NE corner of the harbor and a waypoint in the SW corner of the chart.

No. Rotterdam is approximately 22 nm wide. The environment limits are somewhat less than that.

Hamburg is about 8 nm wide

Will there be any previews in matter of the spring season?
I'm hoping to see some more previews, maybe a new "inside video" from the developer.

At the northern hemisphere (or we who live up in the north) the season summer starts at June (according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer)).
The teaser was released at 18 December 2008. So between December and June there is 6 months (If the release date is 18 June 2009). Now between those dates there is 182 days.
So if we take the half of the 6 months we will end up at 3 months or 90 days (18 March 2009)...
But today (when my reply was written) the date is 26 March 2009. So I'm pretty sure that when there was no new teaser video or inside video posted at March 18 we will see a new announcement at April 18.
Now this whole time calculation would fail if the release date is 18. July 2009...so this is just a estimated release time (ERT) from me if there is a given period of 6 months exactly between those two dates (18/12/08-18/06/09).
But as I know they usually have some bugs to fix and some delays that may arrive...so I guess that a ETR set to 18 July 2009 is a better match than 18 June 2009.

So my illusion of this says that Ship Simulator 2010 will be out at exactly 18 July 2009 or more possible around that time +/- 3-4 days
