The restaraunt above the bridge sounds rather unique to me.

As for the desk, it looks like it could be a great reception desk!

i have done some work at the structure above the bridge, i finished the restaurant walls/windows, added the radars, and the antenna:





i read that some people like to climb into masts, so this antenna will be able to climb in:

the door will teleport you to the roof, and from the roof you can climb the stairs to the top.

the antenna still needs a lot of more details such as lights, horns ect.

the antenna seems finished for now, it's possible i missed a few details. i added the navigation lights, a bunch of antenna's, port and starboard lights, horns and some flags (for the dutch people, don't ask me why a flag of Wamel is added  ;))

Are you certain you can teleport in walkthrough? And can the mast clear the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge? And do you think VSTEP might allow those flags to wave with the wind? Just wondering ;)

Anyway, she looks great! Can her navigation lights fit all light configurations currently offered in SSE?

i know the teleport function worked in SS08, if it doesn't in SSE i will make a ladder. i read you could climb a mast on a ship so i think ladders will work.

the mast is shortened by a few meters, the ship already fit below the bridge by just a meter, so now it will be able to fit under.

the mast's layout is practicaly the same to the Qm2 so SSE must be able to offer the correct configurations.

i am asking about the flags, if they can't be animated i will make them static.

 :evil: lolz! unless he gets disqualified for useing more than 3000 vertices per meter  :doh:
And texture overload, but the new funnel is a succes! The first one really did not fit this beautifull ship.

i decided to make some controll panels with buttons on it and such, it makes the bridge look a little more interesting instead of having the ship's controlls itself alone.

What's a Ship Simulator ship without extra controls that don't do anything? :doh: Even Titanic has all of her telegraphs, with 3 that don't do squat in-game ;D

optimizing will surprise you how much polygons you can safe.

a small example, cilinder objects don't need 32 segments for railings and objects smaller then a meter. instead use 5 or less rotation segments for this job.

also polygons that will never be seen are useless and take up unncecesairy cpu power. if you delete any polygon that sticks into a wall for example or the bottom of a table which the POV of the camera will never show. you can save tons of polygons with that.

there are lots and lots of more tricks for optimizing, badly enaugh GSU is not a #1 tool for optimized models.

I think SU is my problem - my railings are all square, and I try not too use many circles/curves.

Alright, now I'm feeling the need to ask if any real ship has an officer's lounge, with bar, in the bridge.

I don't think I'd want any drunk officers that close to the controls :doh:

You can keep down the railings and still have them detailed in SU :) A lot is posible in SU I have made some models for MSTS and they can't be many polys, if you build the right way you can make it :) Like my superseacat I don't eaven have 1000polys and I have finnised the hull :)

ok, time for some updates!
i have added some ramps and stairs which connect the pool deck to the sundeck and the top deck.








made sure nothing was glitchy


also i don't remember if i have showed earlyer, but a fog bell is added:


railing on top deck added aswell:


and i added some extra bars on the sundeck staircase railings.
