i choose that type of design because behind the funnel, there is a garden and pool section loacted, to have a nice sky view, it needs that sort of funnel, because the smoke gets out of the end of the wings.

P.S. carnival cruises have a squarish shape of funnel, the ocean star has a very round shape.

Amazing.  What is a "Clay model" you are talking about?

you mean clay render, this is a render setting which fills almost all corners with shadows, and has a better lightning, untextured models will look like its made of clay.

example:

model normal rendered:

model clay rendered:

this render setting is very usefull if you want to show tiny details like bolts and small/thin plates on a big frame, a normal render doesn't show those details clearly, a clayrender does ;D

Incredible!! Brilliant work!! The detail is amazing, i'm sure V-step would have no problem over putting this fine ship into SS!

thanks guys  ;D
and it doesn't use too much textures too  ;D

this engine model uses 6 textures which are all low resolution, but you can't notice a thing  ;D
