It works! Need a real workable server on MP with Jumbo & other SS ships (but without Furie & Elbe  ::) ), so it'll be possible to sail on it there!  ;D

Here is an interesting shot of Fairpartner passing the Maaslantkering, which you can compare to the developers’ version in the Rotterdam environment.

I dont think it's a big deal, the true SS fans will buy it anyway because in SS you have more extra missions, free roaming, multi player enz enz. I also read on the German forum that they are still tweaking it, so the SS version might be better  :)

You are correct, Ballast: The CMMs are testing the mission now, and Luc and others are adjusting the dynamics. The VSTEP version will have many more missions, and the ship should perform quite differently. It will also be supported on this forum.

Well, good ship & very detailed. Just of curiosity, will be there any other deck cargo to transport?

A very good point, Mike,
Given the delight among the juveniles in sinking ships and displaying their handiwork, Jumbo has a very specific reason for not allowing their Javelin to be copied into SS 2008: They do not want to see something like this on YouTube:

Hehe. If you even remember what happened to the one of their ships in 2007 - Jumbo Challenger....

Hello gentlemen,

Certain posts regarding illegal use of content have been removed.

It's not allowed to use it in this way, and the ones who have come forward with it, might have to accept the consequenses now. Anyone else who takes that path will face that too.

I trust all involved understand why I removed their posts.

Thanks!

What happened to the Challenger? I was on the bridge of the PoR when we were in radio contact with them in Hull, that;s the only reason i know that name.

'Great' and 'ship accidents' don't go very well together in one sentence  :'(

Hello to All the Moderators..

Let me get this right so I do not violate any rules.

1.  If we recieved the "Jumbo Javelin" from Jumbo Ships, can we post pictures?

2.  What content can we post about it?  ie; pictures, remarks, etc..

I must say.. if  I did get it...I would say "WOW..great work guys!"  And I promise you..I will be paying for the "Jumbo" when it comes out in the "Shipyard"!

I just hope you will create a geared bulker of the 500-600 foot range with that kind of detail.  Just a regular everyday ship!

Thanks to All!!

Best Regards,

Galen

Hi.

I don't see any problems with posting pictures or comments.

But, in the event that anyone gives hints, tips, advice on adding it to Ship Simulator, the post will be deleted and the poster will almost certainly be banned.

You are not supposed to get it in the first place unless you are honestly interested in applying for a job with Jumbo Shipping. Doing so might compromise the relationship between VSTEP and Jumbo Shipping and make any further arrangements to model their ships impossible. This could affect the willingness of other shipping companies to cooperate with VSTEP.

I gave "Jumbo Shipping"  my actual info.  I have a US 3rd Mates ticket unlimited, as well as a Panama Offshore Masters...  I currently hold a job ashore..  I just do not want to post anything which would upset the forum...  I really enjoy the game as well as the discussions here..  And I am a BIG supporter of "payware"...  Lets get some "detailed" Bulkers!! ;D  You guys let me know.

Were you seriously considering leaving the Lakes for the Netherlands? Did you disclose to Jumbo that you were A SS 2008 user and that you intended to use their free Javelin in that simulator? I don’t think it was Jumbo’s intention to open the possibility that they would see videos of Javelin sinking on the Internet.

And the fact that seeing videoes of ships in Ship Simulator sinking could keep us from having as many ships as we could, I am now against the idea!
