Really, i would like to see this yacht from ss2006
i dont understand Why didn't Vstep add this yacht

Likewise the inland tankers and dry goods carriers and the small open boat and I still can't understand why engines from the small container ship can't be put into the variations on its skins so we could have a variety of freighters for AI or player traffic

A common misconception. LNG tankers are probably the safest ships out there. I escort these tankers on a weekly basis and have been to a school for fighting fires on them. Someone once got an idea that they are very dangerous and now everyone just believes it. I would like the chance to drive one though.

Then why is it that when they are offloading/loading LNG, there is a "halo" around their position where NO vessels may enter without proper authorization (I think I remember something like 2Nm, could be wrong though).  If something were to hit that baby, thats a big big boom, and a huge black eye to commercial shipping.

They are safe because of the rules/laws in place to protect them =]

I agree with you about them being safe due to the security zone set around them. It's supposed to be 3 miles ahead, and 1 mile abeam and astern. In my port, the zone around the tanker while offloading is 400 yards, which extends accross the river onto land, but boats are still allowed to transit through.

The study that details all the danger involved was formulated around a lot, repeat a lot, of assumptions. To get the ideal circumstances for an explosion are very nearly impossible outside of a laboratory. Oil tankers and tankers carrying gasoline present a much bigger threat, both damage wise and environmentally.

By the way, if you spray water on LNG, the water explodes into flying icicles. Pretty cool actually.

I think a hydrofoil would add something completely new to the game.

I think most will agree hydrofoils are pretty cool ships.

More mid-sized ferries!

By mid-sized, I'm thinking of something a bit smaller that the huge Pride of Rotterdam.

This topic is for members to state which vessels they would like to see in future versions of Ship Simulator.  It's not for discussing which vessels your family own, please follow the forum rules for posting and respect other members when doing so.

Thank you.

Most likely because of your behavior. No one apparently thinks you are welcome here. Untill you change your attitude, the best you can hope for is to be ignored.

I think more trawlers and more general cruisers would be a good idea, for example adding a Colvic or some sort of motor cruiser like that wouldn't do any harm. Adding some more general trawlers would be healthy for the game in my opinion and also maybe adding some charter boats would be wise, just basicly expanding the range of ships and building on the successful ones too.

Kind Regards

p.s. adding another ferry wouldn't go a miss either, you know Stena Line, Irish ferries, theres a load to choose from!
