 ;D

They are referring to "Google Sketchup"

Which is nowhere near good enough to deliver detailed, quality models. But somehow a lot of 'Ketchup' users don't (want to) realise this.  :D

Thanks, you learn something new every day.

I can almost see the irony here - I 'googled' for an answer and it was staring at me right in the face!  ;D (Google Sketchup)

Hey Fred,
If you are going to explain my posts, at least get your facts straight!
By “Ketchup users” I mean those tasteless boobs who put ketchup on their hamburgers instead of relish as we true gourmands do. ;D

Heya Marty,

Yeah sorry.. Not having Sketchup myself and thus not being a highly advanced super cool modeller of awesome vaguely-resembling-a-ship like things, I don't visit the NVDG corner often..  Not unless there's need for some asterisks..  :P

So I am not aware of the culinairy awkwardness of it's lesser inhabitants..   :-X   my bad..  ;D

BC Ferries, my favorite, one of the largest ferry systems on the planet.
That new build is a beauty. Delivery must have been fun.

I like to see some ships like 3000GT or 8000GT.
big ships are already like Latitude and Vermaas.
a heavy lift ship is nice too.

Maybe a World War 2 Liberty or Victory ship

Or an Atlantic Convoy era T2 tanker.

On the tugboat side, they should include more modern tug and barge work for NY Harbor. The harbor tug used in this game is not what is seen in NY harbor at all... no company uses this type. Maybe a Moran or McAllister style tug that needs to move barges around in push gear or on the hip would be a sweet challenge.

Just get rid of what they have for tugs now and make it a real tug. The one in this game I have never even seen anywhere in real life. It's a mini Fairmount Sherpa, and it's obvious from experience in the game its underpowered.

Get some real nice tugs like these and oil barges with notches so we can do landings/movements from the hip or in a stern notch with pushgear. Tugs are the ultimate experience for seamanship and vessel handling.

Do you have some more info about that ship?

I thought the Fotiy krylov was the most powerful tug in the world.

She was a Dutch tug; designed by Hartog for Kwel International Towing (KITCO).
She was a killer; having a tendency to go into violent destructive rolling when meeting a swell on a certain bearing.

Close, Luc, but I meant the second Isabel Kwel, in Jan de Hartog’s “The Commodore” (1986).
They are both great novels.
