A sailing yacht would be nice.
I live at Lee on the Solent and have sailed the Solent all my life. I am very impressed with the general feel for the area that ShipSim 2008 achieves.

I would like to see some smaller ships as well, like trawlers,whalers and especially the crab fishers like the ones on the Bering Sea. Oh, and the following (a bit bigger )ships : Clipper Lancelot, Clipper Lancaster and the ones of the Fantasy and Festiva series. ;D

I think what V-Step has done so far is pretty good, rather that just keep adding more of the same type of vessel eg let's have 20 ferries from different companies they have tried to give us ships which do as many different jobs as possible. I think that's the best approach as it gives a greater appreciation of the full range of maritime activities and consequently makes the game much more challenging, varied and rewarding.  If I were VStep I'd keep working on that adding fire fighting capabilities and incorporating the submerging heavy lifter Fairmount Fjell we saw in the early tech video etc

Yes. Brilliant idea... Vstep. Please spend hours and hours of development time and then give it away free...

Wow! I bet the Chief Exec of Vstep is jumping up and down with delight at the idea of giving way all his work free of charge.

Next you'll be asking for free Marmite  : :o

@Stuart2007
Why that reply??

Are you asking Vstep to make their game more expensive?
I agree, his reply is a little bit stupid. (tankers, cruiseliners and a fire boat are allready in the game)

But patches (with for example one add-on ship) should be free.

@Trains
Why add two more ships wich allready are in the game?

@sonarman
I couldn't agree more!
People keep asking for ferry's and cruiseliners!

What I would like to see added are Inland ships. Why?
It is verry challenging to manouver them, in and out of locks and to Navigate them trough busy channels and ports.

On inland ships, you really 'manouver' the ship. You don't just set sail to the sea and just hang there around doing allmost Nothing (except admiring the ship) but you really have to use your skills to manouver the ship.

I don't mean to be patronising, but why should ANY developer make things free? A patch to repair a bug, yes- but new features? Who is going to pay for all Vsteps costs if they give things away free? Do you not realise how much work goes into it?

When bugs are fixed I'd be more than happy to purchase extra ships and scenery!!! (In particular the rain bug).

I would still like to see some Navy ships, i know Vstep has a model of a Karel Doorman class Multipurpose frigate, they use it in a other professinal application they can use this model (exterior) design a simpel interrior and put it ingame, and if the Koninklijke marine starts complaining about possible copyrights etc screw them (its my tax money they build it of in the first place)

Nothing make my heart go faster then the sound of a Rolls Royce Spey Turbine on full throttle and the sight of it making a full 180 turn in a 1 mile radius
