I think a military submarine would be cool.  Even if it is not possible to make it go underwater, I still think it would be cool.

Attached (I hope) are 2 photos of T.S. John Jerwood, the Jerwood is a sea caet training ship, she is 100 feet (30 meters) long and I think would make a fantastic model for ship sim, it is a different size to others in the sim also.

The Jerwood is twin engined, has twin linked rudders and a small hydraulically operated bow thruster.

If there is anyone on the forums in the UK with marine experience (MCA or RYA qualifications) the sea cadets are always looking for relief staff, PM or e-mail me for contact details.

Now thats a beautiful ship. That's different to any other vessel and I would love to sail her around the various harbours  ;D

I saw this ship in Ramsgate a month ago.
Nothing special, but it's a nice ship.

What about a paddle steamer such as Waverly (tried to post a photo, but got a message saying something like upload folder full (mods?)

Could the physics engine cope with paddle wheels?

ships used to be made of wood, and sailed by men of steel, now the ships are made of steel, and the men of wood.

Ships like the following:

A 1920's cargo steamer like the Dutch ship Karimoen.
A 1944 type tanker like the Esso Manchester.
A container ship with the superstructure in the middle.
A 1930's or 1950's passenger liner like one of the Union Castle or P&O line

It gives a touch of history to the game :)
