Perfectly pointless posts
« on: May 08, 2008, 19:38:31 »

I know I'm not the first to make a perfectly pointless post today, but as the old saying goes- if you can't join 'em, beat them.

So.

I thought I'd start by telling everyone (especially anyone in a cold, damp country) that I'm enjoying two British rareties: A) Nice, hot weather and B)Properly chilled Stella.

And to top it off, I'm sitting in a motor boat in the middle of a flaming great reservoir. This mobile broadband is great, shame about laptop batteries though.

The point of this post? Read the *ing title.

Yes, I do indeed. Though I have to say that the stuff that we brew here is nothing like 'proper' Stella.

It's full of chemicals to make it taste like original Belgian Stella- but it doesn't work. The water is different :(

Again, French Stella is a bit iffy, but it's what you're used to.

Many the time I've sat in a the Markt in Brugge with a pint (or half litre as you Euro lot call it  :D )... hmm I miss the old days  :(

Nope! I can polish off a Stella more speedily than HP can wreck a LiOn battery. Of that you can be sure :o

Ive never drunk Stella in another country then Belgium.

But sadly, not all bars and clubs have stella in here.

Mostly it is Jupiler, wich is a little bit to bitter for me.
Have you ever drunk 'kriek' while in Belgium?

BTW Whats the legal age for drinking alcohol in the Peoples Federal Republic of Europe?

I'm not directing thaty at anyone here, just actually curious. We're supposed to be changing to 21 (not that that would have bothered me for many years now!)

Kriek? No, never heard of it. Did have a very nice lager locally brewed in Calais... Nice. Very nice... Always say EVERY town in the world has one good point... well, that's Calais.
