indeed, go to the farrest point of the bow on titanic, walk in run mode (holding shift) to the rail a couple of times and suddenly you will fall of, it is not so very annoing, if i want to make some special outdoor pictures i jump off titanic and take my chances  ;D

Would be nice to be able to crawl up in the crows nest or the compass platform. Or even the docking bridge.

Also the wheel should turn 5 times before rudder is at full turn.  Rudder should move slowly.

Hmmm- I always thought it was three times. Where did you get that information from?

We studied a plan of the steering pedestal, and the gearing inside indicates that the wheel turned through three full revolutions from midships to hard over.

You can see in this picture below. F is the a stock that moves backwards and forwards as the worm gear E rotates. By observing the pitch of the worm gear, it can be seen that after the 3 rotations in either direction the stock comes to a stop.

The wheel, when rotated, used hydraulic oil to open a steam valve on a huge steam steering engine, situated above the rudder in the stern. This engine would then kick in and rotate the rudder until the valve closed again. Not sure how fast the rudder moved, but it most certainly would have moved slower than we have it just now in the sim, as it would have lagged behind the wheel some seconds.

Could people post screenshots of the Titanic? I saw this game in GAME the other day and nearly died because my computer isn't good enough to run it, and I'm a Titanic nut so I'm a bit devistated that I can't play this game. I really wanted to get onto the Poop Deck in Sim 2006.

Ah well, I'll get my computer upgraded. But screenshots of the 2nd Class Stairs would be great

Woah. That looks so much like the real ship. They have done very well.
Is B Deck as far down as you can go or can you go all the way to F Deck?

I really want to upgrade my computer to have this game

scortland road is on E-deck, a long corridor that won't be interupted by any wall or door from the front to the end of the ship, a ''service'' corridor :)

and b deck is the 2nd deck below the boat deck, titanic has 10 decks including the boatdecks

the rudder is very fast and i know thats why titanic sank because the rudder was too slow getting across to the the port side.

If I remember correctly, it was because the rudder was too small (among other things) ;)

According to all the material I've read, the Titanic was noted as having 'an impressive turning circle'.

''rudder too small ship too big''
they also had to push the starboard propellor foreward
and the bakboard propellor backwards, and the middle propellor stopped but they dind't they pulled all propellors backwards :o

The central propeller couldn't go into 'reverse'.

good point, i aslo miss the docking bridge, but where is the compas platform? is that the wheelhouse?

Compass platform is the structure between 2nd and 3rd funnel. You can see a latter up to a square platform. It contained the ship standard compass.

About the wheel turning 5 times: I always was under the impression it was 5 times, but I cannot find anything about it. :-[ Physics does not lie so if you canculate it to be 3 times then it is so.
