Hmm.. don't know the name.. but those things are the "sails"

Airfoils, or whatever they are called.. kind of like vertical aircraft wings.
The airfoil shape means that air has to travel further over one edge than over the other. This creates a pressure difference and with aircraft, this creates lift, and here on the ship, that "lift" is directed forward so it creates forward movement.

Now to look for the name.. hmm..  heheh..

Hi,

I let you keep the turn Fred, because I have no question.

The name of this ship is Alcyone, powered by two turbosails. She belongs (or belonged ?) to the Fundation Cousteau.

You are right Budbud..
The ship is the "Alcyone", another ship of Cousteau, along with the famous "Calypso"
The vertical things are "turbosails", an alternative propulsion system that never quite worked out.. :)

You take the next one if you like, Fred..(or anyone else.. :)
