Does the Pride of Hull and Pride of Rotterdam feature azipods or traditional shaft and screw arrangements?

The Pride of Hull/Rotterdam is equiped with two Lips highly skewed propellers, 4.9m in diameter, which are linked via a Schelde reduction gear to the engines.

Of course...  as it does not make sense to have a reduction gear while using diesel-electric azipods...

Indeed. It did not register with me sooner. I just wanted confermation. I think it is a bit silly that she does not have pods, because it would put her in a much better position to have pods

I do not agree with you. Why is it better to have pods than conventional CP propellers on the Pride of Rotterdam? With two bow thrusters and 2 CP propellers I think it will have all the manoeuvrability needed for it's purpose.
