Dreams.. sweet dreams...  ;D

It wasn't actually stripped as much as you would think. You can't judge from the early beta shots. It will be a bit better than what you may have seen on those first screenshots.

But it wont be like the renders, that's a bit too much to ask. But this is true for so many prototypes anyway.

OH YES! ;D ;D, you must bring her in, MUST. I really love how the ship looks and i think im really gonna enjoy sailing wit her in the harbors or even the Atlantic ocean. ;)

Mission idea:

Name:The Berth of the "Berge Stah"

Description:

As the Capitan if the Berth Stah, you have been give your first job after she was launched in early April 09.The  sun is falling and the clouds make a nice peaceful and calm end of the day.Water is calm, some breeze just to keep things cool and there 3lb force to handle out there. But the Job cannot be done alone so 2 Sea Shepra(s) offered to help here beth out of the harbor and then she's all clear to sea for a long journey into another world. However can you stay on track and not run aground until you reach the open sea or will you let your ship go the wrong way.But be aware of the sea, there will be Tankers and Cargo vessels coming in when you reach Rotterdam North sea.And blow that horn and let everyone know theres a new ship ready for action, just don't ram any small vessels along the way.

Environment(s):

Port Of Rotterdam, Rotterdam North Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

Weather: Towards sunset while in the Rotterdam Port, and when your reach "Rotterdam North Sea" time is 12:00 Am, weather is clear sky, dark, and the moon is fully visible, and you can enjoy that scenery for the rest of your peaceful journey..

Water Force 3lb:

Ships: Berge Stahl and Farimonth Shepra x2.

Mission: Medium

Tip:

The key to succeeding this mission is patience and skill, after all we have a very special new ship here ready for service.

You can choose the the name who came up with the idea for the mission either me " Third Mate" or the person who created the mission, so it will be fine by me anyway's :).

With all my regards to you creator of this excellent vessel,

Third Mate  ;)

I really want this vessel in the game, but i'm worried VSTEP will turn it down because we already have a large VLCC? (Or is the Berge Stahl a bulk carrier?)

Hi NathanC

If I am not mistaken, she is an Iron ore bulk carrier.

The only trouble is, that she can only tie off in two ports in the world..
One is Rotterdam, and the other is in Brazil.
And then, only when the tide is favorable.

So I hope she can even sail into Rotterdam, seing how the depths in the game have often been reported as too shallow...   :-\

Regards,
Fred

Well the other option is to create, the south american port,in the future to.Also tidal waters,so you have to calculate the exact time of arrival.
Since i work now for my new company,i had the luck to visite allready more vessels of BW.The company were the Berge Stahl is a part of.

By the way, before we have the ship in the game i just wanted to point a little thing out.Didn't Berge Stahl had white paint job in the back ?
Also here's some information about her ;)

MS Berge Stahl

The MS Berge Stahl is the largest bulk carrier ship in the world. She is registered in Stavanger, Norway. She was previously registered in Monrovia, Liberia.
Iron Ore Bulk Carrier Berge Stahl.

An iron ore carrier, the Berge Stahl weighs in at a massive 364,767 deadweight metric tons, she was built in 1986 by Hyundai Heavy Industries.[1][2][3] The Berge Stahl is 1,122 feet (343 m), has a beam, or width, of 208.3 feet (65 m), and a draft, or depth in the water, of 23 m.[4]

Her Hyundai B&W 7L90MCE diesel engine is 30-feet (9 m) high, drives a single 30-foot (9 m) screw, and puts out 27,610 horsepower (20.59 MW), has a top speed of 13.5 knots, and has a 30-foot (9 m) high rudder.[5][citation needed]

She is owned by the Norwegian shipping company Bergesen d.y. ASA.[2]

Because of her massive size, the Berge Stahl can only tie up, fully loaded, at two ports in the world, hauling ore from the Terminal Marítimo de Ponta da Madeira in Brazil to the Europoort near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Even at these ports, passage must be timed to coincide with high tides to prevent the ship running aground. The Berge Stahl makes this trip about ten times each year, or a round-trip about every five weeks.[6][7] In September of 2006, the ship carried ore to the port of Majishan, China, where she was dry-docked and given her twenty-year inspection.[8] On the return voyage to Rotterdam, she picked up a partial load of ore in Dampier, West Australia, and Saldanha Bay in South Africa (where the maximum depth permitted is 21 m).[9]

Greetings,
When we started this vessel, irt was stil in her old colors, and because of that we kept it that way. Most of al vessels are with a white superstructure. This is just different.
We know this vessel, however thanks for the extra details.
I still like her.

Amazing work Goax!  :) I really hope that we'll see her soon in SS even though it will be difficult to enter any of the SS harbours due to the low tide state they are modelled in.  :-\
