hi, i just a few moments ago was trying to replicate titanic striking the iceberg,
firstly i positioned the titanic about the other end of the ocean, with the iceberg EXACTLY infront, turned the fog on, so the ship wouldnt ever be able to turn in time, but guess what, 25 minutes in, i finally spot the iceburg exactly in front of me, i run to the bridge as fast i can, i starboard turn hard over but i do it gradually spinning like they would have in real life, i then put engines on full astern., but guess what, my titanic somehow manages to clear the berg perfectly, the front end of the ship turns very responsively, definately atleast a 45 degree angle away from the berg in just a couple seconds.
last time i checked, the titanic is sitting at the bottom of the atlantic BECAUSE doing the exact things i did, going the exact same speed, in real life the fog wouldn't have been so high, but i just didnt want to see it too early and miss the berg. so i think they need to tune the steering on the titanic down a whisker, this i heard is a simulator.
i dont mean to sound all demanding, but i think it should atleast be close to what it was in real life, i will upload the mission i used here if i am allowed
