Modern computers shut down if they see temperatures rising too high, or/and some cooling fan has stopped working.
You may have to disconnect power cord for a while (minute or two) and then try again to get the situation resetting, if overheating is the issue this could take 10-15 minutes to cool down.

that may be true finn but sometimes there are glitches with the monitors and the computer never does shut down.  this is why they came out with temperature displays for the cases so you can watch the temperature live.

No the only thing I see is a black screen. With a AOC screen: No Signal...(for just a few sec. after that it's totally black

Sounds like the screen dosen't get any signal,
Possibly it's the Graphicscard, or the PCI-E bus. (I've blowed one of those myself)
Checked all wires?

Btw:

Thats the Exakt same thing that hapened to me!
(game froze and then no signal when restart)
My problem was that I've fired up the PCI-E bus.
Try see if you got a integrated GC on the motherboard, if you do, try starting with that, just to see if thats the case.

thats what i thought too but he said that there wasnt any beeping or a BIOS screen.  if it was the card there would be beeping and it would never get off the BIOS screen.

Hi Thomas,

I realise it's a bit disheartening to hear something like that and I wish you the best of luck.

Please do let us know how you get along and you're very welcome :)

I will. I just called me uncle where I bought me desktop(he is a prof..) And what I was telling(and trying to start with Windows 7 cd) it's hardware problem. I hope it's not the cause of SSE. Because than Vstep have more things to take care off....

Soon as I know more I will post.

Hi Snakebyte,

SSE would not have caused a hardware failure. Anything that fails is never due to software of any kind :)

Well if there was something wrong with the graphics card you would not be able to see the bios to start with! ;D

Your A Nation,

The issue Snakebyte is reporting is not a hard drive failure. Please stop posting comments which are not true.

The symptoms he/she are reporting suggests a processor, motherboard, power supply or memory issue.

Thanks,
Adam
