i was asking about the fans because if they didnt then it would be a power supply problem.  does it beep at all on the startup?

No the only thing I see is a black screen. With a AOC screen: No Signal...(for just a few sec. after that it's totally black

Very odd. This could probably be a hardware issue. Either something has come loose in your computer or there is a problem with your power supply.

Does the PC power up and simply do nothing else. So everything is whizzing away as normal but nothing apears on-screen?

Hi Snakebyte,

This would certainly indicate a hardware failure of some description. It could be a blown processor, loose memory or some other hardware failure or loose cable.

If you have confident enough to open your computer case and you know where most things should be then do so at your own risk.

i think it would have something to do with the motherboard or the possessors.  because at default you should get into the BIOS right away.

Hi A Nation,

If you check my post above it mentions about a processor hehe :)

Snakebyte - The components in your computer may not necessarily be black as such, but the processor might be blown and you can't see it while the heatsink is attached.

I would recommend taking your computer to your local repair shop to get it fixed. They will be able to help you out with your issue and tell you exactly what is wrong.

Adam

Hi Thomas,

I realise it's a bit disheartening to hear something like that and I wish you the best of luck.

Please do let us know how you get along and you're very welcome :)
