I too ordered the boxed version in hopes of having a printed manual. Seems a bit short sighted that i have to search the forums for where to find it... pdf or otherwise.
Agree with you there, that was the main reason I ordered the boxed version! To have a manual!
Yet it was not mentioned, had that been the case I would have got a download version
If you have ordered boxed version from Vstep you will not have the printed manual. I sent an e-mail to Vstep and the answer was:
"Dear Sir,
Shipsim Extremes was created working together with Greenpeace. Who had chosen as most ecological safe environment procedure not include hard copy manuals in Shipsim Extremes production."
Pfft
Surely if Greenpeace are so good at what they do they could have at least used an environmentally friendly paper that has been recycled lots of times and have a stamp of approval.
That would have been more economical, so I'm sorry to say I will be printing it off onto recycled paper but now have to use ink cartridges which totals the same finished product as a normal manual.
That is just barmy!
It's not so hard to source environmentally friendly paper you know.
What on earth do you use when you want to print off leaflets for events etc, hey Greenpeace?
Here's a good site for you: http://www.rainforestinfo.org.au/good_wood/envf_pap.htm
And check your own site, you even recommend friendly papers to use there!!
What about those few euros of donation I gave you? Does that not count for anything? Can't you source friendly paper from that?
Sorry for getting annoyed, only I wondered why I had no manual and then to find out why
Kind Regards
Matthew
