That's a good question. I was looking at that before. It has a 0-1-2 settings and a button. I wonder what it is...

I don't think it is the horn, I think the horn is a push button and not a turn switch.

Maybe a ship has a button for each (3) sound(s).

Those dangerous AI ships. Here is how it goes. captian A large container ship is heading right for us. Well fire a torpedo. Fire on one. BOOM i think that that ship captian learned something. ;)

Maybe we should put this game together with Silent Hunter 3, then we got u-boats which can launch torpedo attacks against the Vermaas and Titanic ;D 

SH3 is an excellent game, but it's bloody war. One of the best parts about Ship Simulator is that it's a relaxing game totally free of violence and killing :)
