Any news about SSE, VSTEP?
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:39:54 »

The question is simple: "Any news about SSE, VSTEP?"

I mean that without any new infos about SSE the forum is dying due to informational hunger.
No, I'm not asking about the release date or the system requirements.  Who cares about those here anyway now?

All we had is a trailer, a year old screenshots, Greenpeace ships, different interviews about one & the same & after a year - again screenshots showing mostly what we've already seen.  Anything new?  Like a new environment, ship list, some new features?
All nice comments as well as hate comments against me & mods giving me warnings or sarcasming around - everything's welcome.

I agree with you WM. I understand they are very busy with the development of Nautis, SSE and their other projects, but some more information would be much appreciated.

http://newsletters.vstep.nl/newsletters/shipsim_extended_v2/26/
If you look at the bottom it clearly says "Keep a close eye out as we will reveal much more info on Shipsim.com very soon. The Shipsim.com site will get a new Ship Simulator Extremes look at the end of this month"
And that email was sent out on the 16th of April !

That is true...

But it has been months since it was 'confirmed' that we had DCitSE, and since then no mention of it anywhere... no pics, no mention in any interview...

I think even one screenshot of DCITSE with its ferries arriving/departing, SR.N4 & Incat racing across the channel & Saipem 7000 slowly sailing through it would be enough to keep us alive if only till the end of summer.

Naahh, don't make VSTEP open the birthday present that we all are waiting for. It's like removing the paper and reveal what is inside before the day arrive. ;)

I mean, if 6th June is the "big day", it is just 24 days left. Imagine how fast those days will go.

And when the package is released, that's the point where potential customers and new players will take their final decision, buy it or not. And in the same time we will see YouTube-movies from the first buyers, screenshots from the first buyers, and the content inside is revealed for all :)

So, time will show... ;D

Take an example of how SH5's developers were weekly revealing infos about the new ships to keep their community alive up to game release date:

Where? Who said that? Or is it just rumors?
They said June in their last interview with game reactor, so give me your source unless you are joking as a drunken rat! :P
