I was never quite satisfied with the Coast Guard paint job on the P6 Patrol Boat, so I did my own.

Put it here if you did a default install (this is works only in SS2006) :

C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSim\Actors\act_dynamic_objects

Yeah was wondering that myself! Prolly won't work at all in ship sim 08 due to the Multiplayer aspect but if it does someone please let me know how so I can put some skins like this on the ships! I stand corrected!! Here's the post explaining how

The old SS2006 reskins can be used in SS2008.
If you find the folder named Actors and then inside there you will find Objects. Once there, open the folder named Harbour Patrol and look at the three folders already in there.
Assuming you haven't yet added a reskin you have to create a new folder named "004 name of skin you want" in the same style as those already there and you then just put the new *.dds file in the folder. You just carry on doing this for any skins you want.
Then in the editor, when you want to place a Patrol Vessel your new skins will appear in the list for you to choose.

It will, but if you replace the P6's default (harbour patrol) skin, which is the one used in MP, you'll just see all P6's in the game with the same skin, just as you do now.

So if you have the coast guard skin in the harbour patrol folder, every P6 in the multiplayer game will have the coast guard skin, as all the models and textures you see are from your own game anyway.

Ahh yup same concept as the horns. You replace your horn files and all the other players in those ship types have the same horn to you but on their pc they still have the default. Unless they change thiers also, gotcha

1. That is not a seperate ship.

2. There is a little box in the top right hand corner. You can use it to search for stuff. Give it a try.
