Surely you are pulling our legs. :o I had a feeling the name began with a "B" and ended with a "Y".

A Night to Remember
The list is practically endless. And pointless.

Does this count?  :P In the movie "Control" - A film set in 1970s England, and shot in black and white, the Pride of Hull/Rotterdam can be seen in the background for a split second, in a short scene shot in Hull. Hardly worth watching just to see it, but it's there ;D

I’m trying to remember the name of an old film starring Sir Alec Guinness as master of one of those pedal-powered boats at seaside resorts. Perhaps it was one of the Ealing Comedies.
It certainly belongs on the list.

That is a HUGE FAIL. The movie playes in the 70s while the PoR/PoH where built in 2000

Marty, I think the film you are thinking of was "Barnacle Bill". Then again, I think in that one he played the skipper of a run down seaside pier.

Theres another one called "Boat trip"

Jerry (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Nick (Horatio Sanz) are two best buddies whose love lives have hit rock bottom.

After Nick runs into a friend who has married a beautiful, sex obbessed girl he met on a singles cruise, the pair decides tries to escape their troubles and do the same by booking a trip on board a similar ship. On the way to the travel agency, Nick insults a man in the parking lot who turns out to be gay (Artie Lange). Nick and Jerry walk into the agency, realizing that the man works at the agency, and resume the argument from inside the building. The manager (Will Ferrell) apologizes for the exchange and books their cruise personally. However, Nick and Jerry are unaware that the travel agency manager has just played a trick on them in retaliation for Nick offending what appears to be his lover after they leave.

Though the cruise ship they're to board has a large banner on the gangplank proclaiming its service to the gay community, Nick and Jerry are quite oblivious to it.  Until they leave dock they realise....

And you can watch the rest.

The Boat That Rocked. It features a fictional boat named Radio Rock I think. The movie didn't turn out an great success though.
