agreed. But its HOW EASY it is to do it.
I even asked one to remind me on the difference between 2 standards for 2.5 hard drives... and he had to phone another branch.
When I first got a laptop (after the Amiga RIP) It totally died 8 days after I bought it. Their policy is if that happens in the first week, they swap it immediately- if not... goes away for repair...
After explaining the meaning of 'not fit for purpose' to both the assistant, the manager and on the phone to head office, and getting nowhere... I headed east for a mile and went to the county court. filled the paperwork for a summons... went back to the retailer and said 'a replacement please. now... or I shall lodge this with the court in precisely... 8 seconds
so I walked out with my new replacement laptop... and a £20 voucher for my trouble.
The moral of this story: Never give your enemy a chance.
